Job Description:
Responsible for performing a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations which may include skilled hand work or utilizing automated production equipment. Comprehends and interprets a variety of technical specifications terms and documents. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring component installation hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.
Essential Functions:
- Ability to read and understand description of manufacture (DM DOM) for operation assembly instruction.
- Ability to handle small parts with tweezers and/or special tools.
- Operate various types of assembly equipment (assembly machines press stakes air screw drivers etc.) with proper training.
- Visually inspect components and subassemblies for obvious defects prior to during and after assembled.
- Check completed assemblies for conformance with quality standards and DMs.
- Maintain assembly / quality records paperwork as required.
Qualifications:
- Requires a high School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years of post-Secondary OR Associates Degree with 0-2 years of prior related experience.
- Manufacturing experience.
- Based on site requirements must be a United States citizen.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time up to 10 hours a day.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- J-STD-001 experience
- Experience reading blueprints.
- Experience using magnification instruments.
