Were working on a next generation data analysis & visualisation platform that enables our customers to drive billion-dollar decisions and accelerate the worlds transition to a more sustainable tomorrow. Were looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team.

This role will be working within our AI group and focus on the research development and delivery of Innovative AI solutions within our products. Youll collaborate closely with a cross-functional team of data scientists software engineers data engineers and product managers that deliver our product roadmap. Youll help design the solutions and ensure their technical success by making sure they are scaleable robust and maintainable.

The successful candidate for this role must have a strong Software Engineering background and understand the challenges of delivering products with a commitment to incremental delivery. Proven experience of leading complex software engineering projects and the ability to articulate ideas effectively across multiple business areas is essential.

As one of our Senior Engineers you will:

• Work with our product team to understand the problems our customers face and design solutions to solve them

• Break complex problems down into small iterations and lead others on their implementation

• Write maintainable testable and optimised code and help junior team members do the same

• Build CI / CD pipelines to ensure the robust and repeatable deployment of our services

• Collaborate with teams that want to use the data platform and identify feedback that will improve the platform

• Ensure the high-quality implementation and delivery of our roadmap

• Be supported to grow and develop your skills.

Youre a great fit for this role if:

• Youve got experience building web services and working with AWS

• Youve had some exposure to agile ways of working test driven development and paired programming

• You understand that people build software and know the importance of communication and collaboration

Our tech stack

We use a wide variety of tools and technologies across our products for this role were looking for:.

• Experience of service / application development using Python and experience of tooling within the Python ecosystem.

• Experience in using cloud platforms like AWS Google Cloud or Azure for deploying scalable solutions

• Understanding of software architecture patterns microservices distributed systems and cloud-native design principles

• Experience with continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins or similar

• Knowledge of data engineering principles and techniques.

• Knowledge of data science techniques would be a plus

Heres an idea of what you might typically encounter:

• Our services are deployed to AWS typically using Lambda ECS and Kubernetes with CloudFormation and CDK for infrastructure configuration

• Our web products are developed using TypeScript React and Redux

• We have a shared component library implementing our design system

• We implement GraphQL and RESTful APIs using NodeJS and Python

• Our backend services are implemented in C# and .NET

• DynamoDB Redshift Postgres Elasticsearch and S3 are our go to data stores

• We run out ETL data pipelines using Python

The salary range for this position is $125000- $170000 which represents base pay only and does not include short-term incentive compensation. When determining base pay as part of a final compensation package we consider several factors such as location experience qualifications and training.
