The Rover / Floating Building Engineer is responsible for maintaining operating and repairing building systems across two assigned locations providing coverage 2 days per week at Location A and 3 days per week at Location B. This role ensures all building systems operate efficiently safely and in compliance with company and regulatory standards. Flexibility strong troubleshooting skills and excellent customer service are key to success in this position.

- Location A: 2 days per week
- Location B: 3 days per week
- Schedule may flex based on business needs or coverage requirements
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 / hour.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance inspections and repairs of building systems including HVAC electrical plumbing lighting and mechanical systems
- Respond to service requests and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to reduce downtime and extend equipment life
- Monitor building automation systems and adjust as needed
- Maintain accurate records of work orders repairs and maintenance activities
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety standards building codes and company policies
- Maintain a professional presence and provide excellent customer service to tenants and site contacts
- Support special projects after-hours work or emergency response as required
Qualifications
- Valid drivers license and ability to travel between assigned location
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school preferred
- Minimum 35 years of building engineering or facilities maintenance experience
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC electrical plumbing and mechanical systems
- EPA Universal Certification preferred (or ability to obtain)
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities across multiple sites
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to climb ladders kneel bend and stand for extended periods
- Ability to work in mechanical rooms rooftops and other facility-related environments
