About the role

Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Close Observation Unit. This is a permanent part-time role working 32 hours per week.

Salary range: $41.73 - $53.53 per hour plus superannuation andaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15900access to many staff benefits!

What youll be doing

The Registered Nurse provides evidence-based and contemporary patient-centred clinical care in collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team. The delivery of care extends to patient advocacy with particular consideration to the physical emotional and spiritual needs of patients that contribute to optimal clinical outcomes.

Registered Nurses are responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient management of care within the scope of practice and professional guidelines that include but may not be limited to: legislation regulations standards codes qualifications registration and clinical competencies.

About you

To be successful in this position you will have the following:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with no restrictions
  • ECG and Cardiac arrhythmia interpretation skills
  • Demonstrated competency in intravenous (IV) cannulation
  • Able to care for patients with Non-Invasive Ventilation/Airvo required with Invasive Ventilation skills competency preferable.
  • Digital and computer proficiency extending to Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Minimum of one-year post graduate experience
  • Australian Citizenship permanent residency a current work Visa with no restrictions
