Get to Know the Role

We are looking for a Backend Software Engineering Intern who is excited to learn write clean code and contribute to products used by millions of users. You will work with experienced engineers and get hands-on exposure to the full software development lifecycle. This is a great opportunity to grow your technical skills in a collaborative environment.

This is a paid internship role. You will report to our Engineering Manager and be based onsite at our office in Petaling Jaya Malaysia.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• You will work with engineers and product teams to understand requirements and contribute to product features.
• You will participate in technical discussions and learn from experienced engineers across teams.
• You will write clean readable and testable code under guidance.
• You will collaborate with QAs to ensure your features are tested and stable before release.
• You will help improve the codebase by identifying areas for improvement and suggesting solutions.
• You will learn how to debug and troubleshoot issues in a production-grade distributed system.
• You will share knowledge and insights with fellow interns and teammates.

Qualifications :

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• You can start from May 2026 onwards with a minimum duration of 3 months
• You are pursuing or have recently completed a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• You have foundation in Computer Science fundamentals algorithms data structures and system design basics.
• You have programming experience in any language and have the interest to learn the Golang skill too.
• You are passionate about building products and features that solve user problems.
• You are a learner who is not afraid to ask questions and own your work.
• You have some proficiency in CI/CD tools (Jenkins GitLab)
• You have some exposure with a data warehouse like Snowflake Redshift or Spark
• You have some exposure in deploying code in AWS Azure or Google Cloud environments
