Sr Application Engineer

As a Sr. Application Engineer in Renesas with complete knowledge and full understanding of areas of specialization you will work on problems solving debugging and design of power electronics devices and applications.

The job will sweep from preliminary design of power applications supported by simulations and theoretical modeling to innovative approach to solving issues. New devices and debug at system level are part of the activities where new test solutions created with originality will be on the standard path of the expected career development. Work is done independently under expert manager mentorship and reviewed only at critical milestones.

Good and enhanced relationships networking capabilities with others senior team members and partners who could be even not familiar with the specific results of the activities require in some cases good communication skills and persuasion capability.

Key Responsibilities

This role has direct responsibility of assigned task relating to system test and validation providing support from the single product to the whole system design through scrupulous bench activities exploiting automation algorithm to collect data measurements quickly and with high reliability. Results report and presentation to other teams are expected to be part of the activity.

• Automation measure bench setup
• Data collection
• Python scripting for bench automation
• Schematic design and review
• Simulations
• PCB design analysis and review

Qualifications :

This role requires a masters degree in electronic or Electric Engineer with proved advanced knowledge in power conversion technology and at least 3 years of experience in a similar role or a PhD title.

Bachelors degree in electronic or Electric engineering followed by at least 5 years of experience in a similar role.

Direct experience with benches measurements on complex mixed signals power system board.

• The use of at least one circuital simulation CAD.
• knowledge and use of a PCB cad tool for design and review of PCB layout
• Good level of English both speech and write.
• Appreciated a basic knowledge of thermal simulation tools
