Parts Advisor

Job Summary:
The Parts Advisor at St. Louis CDJR is responsible for providing excellent customer service and facilitating the sale of parts to customers. This individual will assist in identifying and fulfilling customer needs maintaining accurate inventory records and contributing to the overall success of the sales team. This is an hourly sales position in the auto industry and the ideal candidate will be able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers in finding and purchasing the correct parts for their vehicles
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock levels are adequate
• Collaborate with the service and sales departments to fulfill orders and ensure timely delivery to customers
• Utilize the companys computer system to locate and order parts for customers
• Keep up to date on product knowledge to accurately answer customer questions and make product recommendations
• Maintain a clean and organized parts department to create a positive experience for customers
• Participate in training and development opportunities to continuously improve job performance and knowledge
• Communicate any customer concerns or dissatisfaction to management and work to find a resolution
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies at all times
• Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a parts counterperson required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Proficient computer skills including the ability to navigate inventory and ordering systems
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physically able to stand walk and lift to 50 pounds regularly
• Must have a valid drivers license and a clean driving record
• Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed
