We are thrilled to be providing primary care services at our state-of-the-art location at 80 Beharrell Street in West Concord Massachusetts. As a Family Medicine office we provide physical examinations routine health screenings and preventative care for all ages from infants through adults.
We are seeking a full-time 40-hour Medical Assistant to support our family medicine practice Monday through Friday 8:00am- 5:30pm (shifts are staggered accordingly). This is a hybrid opportunity that includes both onsite coverage and 1 remote day per week!
This Medical Assistant position will begin at our Burlington office (47 Middlesex Turnpike Burlington MA) until September with a planned transition to permanently support our Concord office!
Job Summary
SummaryThe role supports healthcare teams by assisting with both clinical and non-clinical patient services under the direction of healthcare providers. Key responsibilities include taking vital signs documenting patient information scheduling appointments and managing patient flow. This role involves direct interaction with patients to ensure their comfort and address concerns as well as collaboration with physicians nurse practitioners and nursing staff to facilitate efficient care.

Essential Functions
-Assists junior Medical Assistants with day-to-day questions and responsibilities and helps facilitate their learning by participating in onboarding training.
-Show patients to examination rooms prepare necessary equipment for healthcare providers and interview patients to obtain medical information measure their vital signs weight and height and record information in the patients medical record.
-Explain treatment procedures medications diets and physician instructions to patients ordering and organizing educational materials to reinforce patient education.
-Perform general office duties such as answering phones taking dictation and completing insurance forms while acting as a liaison with other departments and advocating for patients with a positive customer service approach.
-Collect blood tissue or other laboratory specimens log them and prepare them for testing; perform phlebotomy if competence is demonstrated.
-Maintains inventory of immunizations and check expiration dates.
-Provides immunizations (as applicable) which requires certification or 3 years of experience administering a vaccine and supervision of a provider.
-Responsible for improving appropriate departmental quality initiatives such as two patient identifiers and hand hygiene.

High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Associates Degree Medical Assisting preferred

Basic Life Support BLS Certification - Various Issuers preferred
