Position Summary
Completes assigned work and supports efficient freight flow by following policies and procedures collaborating with others operating material-handling equipment using warehouse systems maintaining accurate records and ensuring cold chain/species compliance. Maintains a safe organized work area and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies data and resources.
  • Collaborates with managers coworkers customers and other business partners to align on priorities deadlines and expectations.
  • Carries out tasks and communicates progress and key information.
  • Identifies improvement opportunities and determines/recommends solutions.
  • Adapts to and learns from change difficulties and feedback.
  • Manages freight flow by moving and loading freight manually and with powered equipment (e.g. single/double pallet jack lift pacer).
  • Identifies counts separates combines palletizes and scans freight.
  • Utilizes warehouse management systems (WMS) terminals scales and scanners.
  • Maintains required records logs and forms.
  • Keeps work area organized and maintains freight flow by stacking and moving empty pallets using pallet jacks and/or powered equipment.
  • Monitors freight to ensure cold chain and species compliance.
  • Complies with company policies procedures and standards of ethics and integrity; implements related action plans and uses the Open Door Policy as appropriate.

The hourly wage range for this position is $23.00 - $28.80* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule facility season or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
