We are seeking a skilled Field Technician with specialized experience in the wastewater industry and industrial pump systems. This role is responsible for the on-site installation maintenance and repair of critical pumping equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and a proven track record of troubleshooting rotating equipment in municipal or industrial wastewater environments.
Key Responsibilities
Pump Maintenance: Perform routine and emergency repairs on submersible centrifugal and grinder pumps.
System Diagnostics: Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues within wastewater lift stations and treatment facilities.
Field Operations: Conduct equipment startups preventative maintenance (PM) inspections and precision alignments.
Documentation: Maintain accurate service records and technical reports for all field activities.
Safety: Strictly follow industry safety standards including Confined Space Entry and Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) protocols.
Required Qualifications
Direct Industry Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience specifically within the wastewater industry.
Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated experience repairing and maintaining various types of industrial pumps and rotating equipment.
Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to read blueprints technical manuals and electrical schematics.
Physical Requirements: Ability to work in outdoor environments and comfortable with the physical demands of field service work (lifting up to 50 lbs climbing and confined spaces).
License: Valid Drivers License with a clean driving record.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with electrical control panels and motor testing.
Relevant wastewater certifications (Class D or higher).
Confined Space Entry certification.
