We Require

• One year of professional library experience

• Masters degree in Library Science from an American Library Associated (ALA) accredited school

Job Contributions

• Interviews trains supervises and evaluates assigned branch staff and volunteers

• Schedules staff and authorizes leave to ensure an equitable distribution of work and adequate staffing

• Assists with establishing evaluating and revising branch goals objectives policies and procedures

• Provides exceptional customer service by responding to customer queries and concerns assisting customers with digital devices and promoting all material types and products

• Identifies needs and provides recommendations for improving branch operations (use of space equipment staffing training etc.)

• Oversees maintenance safety and security of the branch

• Acts on behalf of the Large Branch Manager in his/her absence

• Acts as a liaison to outside organizations and serves on standing and/or ad-hoc committees

• Plans and conducts programs for the public

Working Conditions

• Work is performed in a library setting typically consisting of office or administrative work and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions

• Ability to exert up to 20 lbs. occasionally 10 lbs. frequently or negligible amounts constantly and walk/stand to a significant degree
