Server Assistant Stockyards Tavern and Chophouse

This position performs serving activities with primary responsibility for greeting guests in a timely manner; making suggestions regarding menu items; taking and delivering orders; checking regularly for guests needs; and collecting payment for all food and beverages served.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greets guests in a timely manner takes orders monitors alcohol consumption serves food and beverages according to company service standards.
• Requests proper identification from guests purchasing alcoholic beverages when legal age is questionable (under the age of 30).
• Thoroughly knowledgeable on the menu daily specials and beverages.
• Monitors and observes guests dining experience to respond to additional needs or requests.
• Enters orders into POS maintains accurate guests cover counts totals receipts correctly verifies sales and collects payment for all food and beverages served.
• Performs all duties on the server checklist.
• Complies with company local state and national regulations pertaining to food quality cleanliness and sanitation standards alcohol service and safety.
• Completes all other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• 6 months related experience in a high-volume high energy food and beverage environment.
• Availability to work nights and weekends as needed.
• While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to position self to move about.
• The employee frequently is required to operate and use server station tools and equipment; and communicate with guests employees and management.
• The employee must move up to 30 pounds frequently.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Alcohol service certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
