TITLE: Design Engineer with ACTIVE Secret Clearance (US Citizenship REQUIRED)

RATE RANGE: $60/hr - $71/hr W2 (no health benefits/no paid PTO while on contract-an hour worked is an hour paid)

DURATION: 12 months

LOCATION: Onsite in Grand Prairie TX (no relocation package offered)

CLEARANCE: Active Secret required to start

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Designs major components or major portions of a functional system or technically advanced prototype promotional or specific products.

Develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations.

Develops basic data and makes preliminary layouts sketches and notes necessary to present design proposal. Investigates pertinent design factors such as ease of manufacture availability of materials and equipment interchangeability replace ability strength-weight efficiency and contractual specification requirements and cost.

Coordinates with other organizations affected by design development.

Makes layouts of assemblies and details parts of devices mechanisms structures and products.

Checks completed layouts and drawings for clarity completeness conformity to standards procedures specifications and accuracy of calculations and dimensioning.

Identifies design errors omissions and other deficiencies and recommends revisions and/or improvements in design layout to responsible engineers or designers.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Candidate must have at least 3 years experience with Creo design.

Candidate must have at least 2 years experience with Windchill PLM/PDM

Mechanical primary and secondary structures

At least 1 year of experience with Concept development

At least 1 year of experience with Design review content preparation

Candidate must have at least 4 years experience with Create Finished 3D Models

Candidate must have at least 2 years experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

Candidate must have at least 2 years experience with Complex Mechanical/Electrical Concepts
