Job Summary
ABOUT THE ROLE
A well-regarded New York litigation boutique known for high-stakes commercial disputes is seeking a mid-level associate. Associates are given genuine responsibility from day one working directly with partners on complex business disputes contract claims fraud actions and employment-related matters across state and federal courts. If you want courtroom time and real client relationships not document review this is your firm.
WHAT YOULL DO
- Handle commercial litigation from initial pleadings through trial and post-judgment enforcement
- Conduct and defend depositions; manage discovery including e-discovery workflows
- Draft and argue dispositive and pre-trial motions in New York Supreme Court and federal court
- Communicate directly with clients and manage aspects of client relationships
- Support business development and client pitches alongside senior attorneys
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR
- J.D. from an accredited law school; admission to the New York Bar
- 3 years of commercial litigation experience at a law firm
- Employment or labor dispute experience is a plus
- Excellent research writing and analytical skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle a demanding caseload
