Senior Accountant / Client Advisor (Fully Remote U.S.)

About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Accountant / Senior Client Advisor to join a fast-growing modern accounting firm. This is a highly client-facing advisory-focused role ideal for someone who combines strong accounting fundamentals with exceptional interpersonal skills.
This position goes beyond traditional accounting. You will serve as a trusted advisor to small business ownershelping them understand their financials tax returns and business decisions in a clear confident and approachable way. This is very much an IQ EQ role requiring both technical knowledge and the ability to build meaningful client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary advisor and main point of contact for a portfolio of clients
Lead client meetings to review financial statements and business performance
Review share and explain business and personal tax returns (including S-corps)
Prepare accurate financial statements and customized tax projections
Build and maintain long-term client relationships
Review staff accountants work and provide guidance and feedback
Handle sales tax filings where applicable
Manage deadlines and workflows in a remote environment

Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
5 years of public accounting experience (CPA firm experience preferred)
Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
General tax knowledge and experience explaining tax returns to clients
Confident professional communicator comfortable advising business owners
Tech-savvy and experienced with cloud-based accounting tools
QuickBooks (Desktop & Online) required; Xero a plus
CPA or EA not required but credentials are welcomed.
