Position: Early Childhood Assistant (Part Time - 15 hours per week)

Reports to:Principal

Supervises: None

Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or GED required.

2. Satisfy Every Student Succeeds Act requirements by:
a. Completed at least 2 years of study (48 hrs.) at an institution of higher ed or
b. Hold an associates degree or higher or
c. Obtained a National Career Readiness Certificate through successful completion of the

ACT WorkKeys Assessment or passed the Paraprofessional Assessment Test - Passing

Score is 455 or
d. Passed the Oklahoma General Education (OGET) Test.
3. Satisfy all district requirements with regard to physical health and citizenship.
4. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Position Goal: To have direct involvement with children for the majority of the day.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with teacher regarding instructional plans.
2. Assist with classroom lessons and activities.
3. Facilitate small/large group activities.
4. Facilitate center activities.
5. Support the class behavior plan.
6. Supervision of children during teacher plan period lunch and recess.
7. Assist children with restroom needs with necessary.
8. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Employment Terms:Part-Time Nine (9) month classified hourly contract

Visual Requirements: Close color peripheral depth perception ability to adjust focus.

Hearing/Speaking Requirements: Adequate to exchange information.
