Location: New York NY 10003 Shift: Day Shift (8:00 AM 4:00 PM) Saturdays & Sundays Contract Duration: 9 Weeks Hours: 15 hours/week (2 days/week 7.5-hour shifts)
Position Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures and support radiologists in delivering accurate and timely interpretations. This weekend-only role is ideal for a professional who excels in outpatient imaging environments and is committed to patient safety quality and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and position patients for ultrasound examinations
Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures in accordance with established protocols
Operate and adjust ultrasound equipment safely and effectively
Capture process and transmit images to PACS for radiologist review
Assist radiologists during specialized imaging procedures as needed
Maintain clean and perform basic troubleshooting of ultrasound equipment
Ensure adequate supply levels and equipment readiness
Coordinate patient scheduling and transport when required
Support onboarding and mentorship of new staff members
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and records
Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist (Required)
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification (ARDMS) (Required)
Proficiency in basic computer applications and Microsoft Office
Strong understanding of clinical and administrative practices
Excellent communication analytical and decision-making skills
High attention to detail accuracy and confidentiality
Education Requirements
Associates Degree in Diagnostic Medical Technology (Required) OR
High School Diploma/GED with completion of an accredited ultrasound/sonography program (Required)
