Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs): bathing dressing grooming toileting mobility and transfers
- Safely support mobility including use of wheelchairs and assistive devices
- Provide companionship conversation and emotional support
- Offer medication reminders (no administration)
- Perform light housekeeping laundry meal prep grocery shopping and errands
- Follow individualized care plans and agency policies
- Observe and report any changes in client condition to a supervisor
Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 months of professional caregiving experience (home care assisted living or facility)
- Must pass a caregiver skills assessment prior to hire
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal & written) without an interpreter
- Bilingual (English Spanish or another language) strongly preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with mobility/transfers
- Must have a smartphone with internet access for scheduling and documentation
- Reliable transportation to client homes (car preferred)
- Must pass a background check and NC Health Care Personnel Registry clearance
- Flexible availability including weekends
