Forklift Operator

Roles and Responsibilities

• Safely carry out and transport components and materials to the various required departments using a forklift (6500 lb propane) an overhead crane a pallet jack or a hand truck.

• Inspect the components & materials received using the plans BOM MOC receipt slip and other relevant documents

• Identify the components & materials received

• Keep the Reception area safe and clean (cutting and dismantling wooden pallets preparation for recycling etc.)

• Attach slings hooks or other devices to lift and handle equipment and materials

• Bundle wrap or band material for shipment

• Communicate with supply and quality any non-compliant delivery and participate in the development of the non-compliance report (quarantine area)

• Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure accurate inventory

• Participate to inventory/material counts

• Participate when required in the loading of units

• Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma

Experience: Relevant experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in HVAC is an asset.

Computer Skills: ERP system and Microsoft office experience (an asset)

Certificates & Licenses: Forklift license required; overhead crane certification is an asset.
