The Position
Based in Basel within Group People & Culture the Roche Global Citizenship team helps bring our purpose to life by empowering healthier more resilient communities where we live work and beyond. Through trusted partnerships strategic societal impact initiatives and purposeful employee engagement the team supports Roches commitment to creating lasting value for people society and future generations.
As the Engagement Manager your responsibilities may include operating as a highly motivated self-starter with strong executional focus creativity and collaboration skills. The role requires excellent communication and community-building capabilities with the confidence to drive initiatives independently while partnering closely within a matrixed leadership model.
Your opportunity
Mobilizing employees and sites globally to support RGC priorities and the 10x fundraising ambition through coordinated campaigns and community activation
Supporting and growing key employee communities including Roche BRIDGE and the Roche Continents alumni network
Enabling and supporting site-level delivery of the annual Childrens Walk providing guidance tools and communications to ensure a consistent and high-quality experience
Translating global engagement priorities into locally resonant initiatives in partnership with sites regions and affiliates
Collaborating closely with the Lead Strategy & Engagement to ensure alignment prioritization and continuous improvement
Acting as a connector across internal stakeholders fostering collaboration knowledge-sharing and a strong sense of community
Key Deliverables
Community Activation & Engagement
Drive coordinated global engagement behind RGC priorities through targeted campaigns toolkits and activation plans
Build and sustain a connected scalable employee community network that enables participation advocacy and peer-to-peer engagement
Support and steward the Roche BRIDGE community and Roche Continents alumni network strengthening identity continuity and impact
Enable strong site-level engagement by equipping local teams with guidance best practices and timely support
Communications & Channels
Develop and deliver compelling content across multiple channels including internal platforms and social media (e.g. LinkedIn Instagram) to drive awareness and participation
Manage community communications calendars ensuring consistent engaging and audience-appropriate messaging
Oversee and coordinate content for the RGC digital presence (e.g. hub) ensuring accuracy consistency and timely updates in collaboration with topic owners across the team and relevant digital/web publishing functions
Partner with Group Communications and RGC colleagues to amplify storytelling and showcase employee and community impact
Program Support & Execution
Support execution of engagement-related initiatives with particular focus on the Childrens Walk and other flagship activities
Coordinate logistics timelines and inputs to ensure smooth delivery and positive participant experience
Gather feedback insights and engagement data to inform continuous improvement and reporting
