Class 1 HGV Driver

The role

We are lookingLGV Class 1 Drivers to support our operations based out of Hemel Hempstead

Base salaryof 18.06 per hour plus 11% London weighting (c43300 basic plus premiums)

We also payadditional premium rates*weekly overtime x1.3 andrest day working of x1.5plus youll be part of ourDriver bonus scheme

What youll take on

Youll be a part of our critical distribution operation

• transporting clothing and homeware products to our storesin the South & Midlandsalong with some trunk runs.
• Adopt a Safety First mindset where nothing is placed over the safety of yourself the public or your colleagues.
• All shifts operate on a 5 days out of 7 which includes weekend working (approx 3 on 3 off)plus other odd weekend days.
• There are two positions available
  • Position 1 - Theshifts startbetween 03:00-10:00totalling42 hours per week.

  • Position 2 -Theshifts startbetween 10:00-17:00totalling 42 hours per week.

What youll bring

• Class 1 CElicense holders with a CPC card
• Minimum of 1 year Class 1 HGVdriving experience including the coupling and uncoupling of trailers
• Maximum of 6 points on license and no convictions

Successful applicants will receive 2 days of training from a Driver Development Coach (DDC) and will be aligned to a Manager to provide any additional support required outside of their training alongside any support provided by the DDC.

Benefits

*Weekend premiums(between the hours 06:00-22:00)

Saturday - 3.00 per hour

Sunday - 5.00 per hour

Night rate(between the hours 22:00-06:00)

Sunday - Thursday - 3.00 per hour

Friday - 5.00 per hour

Saturday - 7.55 per hour (until 30/09/26)

London weighting - 11%
