Position will be remote and can work from any location or region within Advocate Health network.
Pay Range
$41.10 - $61.65Major Responsibilities:
- Ensures Enterprise nursing policies are standardized evidence-based and aligned across divisions by conducting comprehensive literature searches synthesizing findings and applying formal appraisal methodologies to support consistent high-quality clinical practice.
- Leads activities to expand the standardization of clinical policies and procedures across Advocate Health sites. Collaborates with clinical leadership and Document Management Governance teams to prioritize key policies for standardization.
- Develops an awareness of Advocate Healths content expertise across disciplines and integrates their expertise appropriately.
- Works with clinical practice teams to identify potential practice changes after thorough review of healthcare agency published guidelines and current literature and a determination of content validity.
- Collaborates with the Regulatory & Accreditation team to ensure policies meet regulatory issues.
- Collaborates with physician leadership in the development of policy statements regarding medical practices.
- Elicits and encourages various perspectives on practice changes and policy recommendation to assure thorough dialogue occurs before critical decisions are made. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams and the Document Management Governance team to effectively disseminate new/revised policies across sites.
- Manages content within Advocate Healths repository for polices which tracks various elements for each policy.
- Implements strategies that educate leadership in key policy changes and their rationale.
Licensure Registration and/or Certification Required:
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices.
Education Required:
- Bachelors Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Nursing.
Experience Required:
- Typically requires 3 years of experience in core nursing practices and routine care standards.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities Required:
- Effective and efficient time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing including proficient skills in grammar spelling and punctuation.
- Demonstrates the ability to influence and lead effective meetings and manage teams.
- Ability to accurately interpret clinical research studies and publications.
- Ability to use software applications in a windows environment.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Ability to sit walk stand bend and lift frequently throughout the workday.
- Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
- Occasionally lifts items weighing up to 20 lbs.
- Exposed to normal office environment.
