Job Title: Banner Sewing Technician / Industrial Sewing Operator

Job Summary:

The Banner Sewing Technician is responsible for producing high-quality banners by sewing hems inserting ropes or reinforcements and ensuring durability for indoor and outdoor use. This role requires attention to detail familiarity with industrial sewing machines and the ability to follow production specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Measure cut and prepare banner materials (vinyl fabric mesh etc.)
• Sew hems along banner edges using industrial sewing machines
• Insert ropes cords or webbing into hems for reinforcement and hanging
• Install grommets or finishing hardware as needed
• Follow work orders design specs and production deadlines
• Inspect finished banners for quality alignment and durability
• Maintain sewing equipment and report any mechanical issues
• Keep work area clean and organized
• Collaborate with production team to meet daily output goals

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with industrial sewing machines (preferred)
• Ability to sew straight consistent hems and reinforced edges
• Familiarity with banner materials like vinyl and polyester
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
• Ability to read measurements and follow instructions
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift materials (up to 2550 lbs)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in signage printing or textile production
• Knowledge of grommet machines and finishing tools
• Basic understanding of production workflows

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing or print shop setting
• Exposure to noise from machinery
• Fast-paced production-driven environment

Physical Requirements:

• Standing for extended periods
• Repetitive hand and arm movements
• Lifting and handling large banner materials
