Medical Lab Scientist OC

Theon-callMedical Lab Scientistwill support the busy clinical lab with Chemistry Hematology and Urinalysis as needed. Play a vital role in patient care through accurate testing quality control and equipment maintenance. Youll perform routine lab analyses ensure compliance with safety protocols and support instrument operations and staff training.

Hiring Range: $36.60-$45.85 per hour and placement in the range depends on an evaluation of experience ::Differential Available: 5% for on-call position status

Location:Padden Commerce Park (12019 NE 99thStreet Vancouver WA 98662)

Schedule:flexible availability to cover dayshift.On-Call is not eligible for benefits and there is no guarantee of hours

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine lab tests and report results accurately and on time

• Maintain and calibrate lab instruments; perform quality control procedures

• Document and communicate critical values and abnormal results

• Assist with instrument validation troubleshooting and staff training

• Support special projects and contribute to procedure development

Requirements:

• Completion of an accredited MLS.

• ASCP certification required.

• 1 year of clinical lab experience preferred.

• Strong attention to detail communication and teamwork skills.

• Must pass visual color discrimination testing.
