Biology Teaching Role in an Independent School Setting

About the Role
You will teach Biology across Key Stage 3 Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 delivering lessons that develop students understanding of key biological concepts such as cell biology genetics ecology and human biology.
The role includes both theoretical teaching and practical laboratory work allowing students to develop investigative skills and scientific understanding.
You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Biology examinations supporting them in developing analytical skills extended writing and exam technique.
You will work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and assessment.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Biology across KS3 KS4 and KS5
Deliver lessons covering key biological topics
Plan and supervise practical laboratory activities
Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Biology examinations
Assess student work and provide structured feedback
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
Maintain safe laboratory environments
Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development

Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Strong subject knowledge in Biology

Experience teaching A-Level Biology
Experience preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations
