The Opportunity

We are seeking an academically rigorous and enthusiastic Chemistry Teacher to join a Good secondary school and sixth form. In this role you will be responsible for delivering the central science to a diverse cohort of students preparing them for the high-level analytical demands of modern medicine engineering and environmental science.

Core Responsibilities
Academic Delivery: Teaching Chemistry across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE) with the opportunity to teach A-Level Chemistry (AQA/OCR) for suitably qualified candidates.
Mastery of Theory: Guiding students through the complexities of atomic structure quantitative chemistry and organic reaction mechanisms with clarity and precision.
Laboratory Leadership: Planning and executing safe high-impact practical work that develops students technical proficiency and their ability to interpret empirical data.
Assessment & Intervention: Utilizing granular data tracking to identify misconceptions early providing targeted feedback that helps students master the mathematical requirements of the specification.
Career Mentorship: Supporting students in their journey toward higher education particularly those aiming for competitive pathways in Healthcare Pharmacy and Chemical Engineering.
The Successful Candidate We are looking for a subject specialist who can communicate the elegance of chemical laws with passion. Requirements include:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong honours degree in Chemistry or a closely related discipline.
Subject Expertise: A deep understanding of the GCSE and A-Level Chemistry specifications including a commitment to the highest standards of laboratory safety.
Instructional Clarity: The ability to demystify complex conceptssuch as moles redox reactions and equilibriumfor students of all abilities.
