Job Summary:

A Few Good Lads is seeking experienced All-Round Carpenters to work on renovation and upgrade projects in Northern BC. This position is an extreamly unique opportunity for the right candidate. This role requires a well-rounded skillset with the ability to handle a variety of carpentry tasks from formwork through to finishing.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented adaptable and takes pride in delivering high-quality work across all stages of construction. You will be working on active renovation sites where precision efficiency and problem-solving are key.

The successful candidate must be able to have a mastery of the following criteria:

• Must be willing to relocate
• Extensive all round knowledge of construction and renovation projects including basic knowledge of plumbing electrical and HVAC systems.
• Must understand and have extensive knowledge and experience with alteration and renovation of wood framed construction and wooden structures.
• Must understand and have extensive knowledge and experience with rain screen systems and window and cladding installation and cladding and flashing details.
• Excellent problem solver with a solutions based approach to construction details.
• Coordinate and lead several teams of 3 to 6 crew members per project.
• Have the ability to run several projects simultaneously
• Create and deliver timely material orders per project.
• Track approve and confirm crew hours per project with P/Os for submission to management on a daily basis.
• Run regular / weekly safety meetings and toolbox talks
• Good condition Truck or utility vehicle. (and utility trailer). (Send pics of the rig).
• Please send photographs of past projects that highlight all aspects of construction including structural alterations cladding and window installations. (Please provide a brief description of the work that has been personally performed or overseen by you in per photo).
• Full set of tools. Tools requirements need to be defined. Here is that list that I sent you last night: Tools and equipment in good working order such as - tool belt with all hand tools circular saws sawzall impact drivers drills hammer drills levels laser levels extension ladders step ladders hand tools chisels punches squares chalk lines etc. chop-saw compound miter saw portable table saw compressor nail guns framing gun siding gun concrete nailers etc etc. i.e. all the things that would define a basic kit for someone in this position.
• Have all PPE including: safety boots eye and ear protection. Fall protection gloves respirators etc.
• Team player that enjoys working with others and leading teams.
• Be willing to work long hours.

Compensation:

• $80-$100 per hour depending on experience
• Bonuses

• Gas allowance based on kms of vehicle use
