Role Overview
AMD is seeking a Subsystem Infrastructure Support Specialist to help maintain and support the technical infrastructure used by our hardware design and verification teams. This role is focused on branch management build and release support internal tools scripting and infrastructure configuration ensuring engineers can work efficiently and reliably.
This position is a hands-on technical support role. It is not a silicon design or verification
engineering position and it does not require ownership of RTL or testbench development.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain subsystem-level source branches and create release branches and release notes
Support build release and automation flows used by design and verification teams
Maintain and enhance automation scripts and infrastructure tooling (primarily Ruby-based)
Configure and support internal infrastructure tools and workflows
Assist with project bring-up activities including configuration file list assembly and build setup
Act as a day-to-day infrastructure support contact for subsystem teams
Coordinate with AMDs central Infrastructure teams to align tooling and resolve issues
Help diagnose and resolve infrastructure-related problems impacting engineer productivity.
Required Skills & Experience
Experience with scripting or automation (Ruby preferred; Python or Perl acceptable)
Familiarity with Makefiles and build environments
Experience with version control systems such as Perforce and/or Git
Comfort supporting internal tools and technical workflows
Basic awareness of hardware or software development environments (no design
ownership required)

Strong troubleshooting skills and a service-oriented mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to semiconductor hardware or systems development environments
Basic understanding of Verilog SystemVerilog or object-oriented programming
concepts

Some exposure to web-based tools or dashboards
Education
Diploma or associate-level degree in Computer Science Software Technology or a
related field
Equivalent practical experience will also be considered
