Summary:

• Design develop test and maintain safety-critical embedded software across the full lifecycle

• Translate customer and system requirements into robust software architectures and detailed designs

• Implement and optimize software components and algorithms for performance and integration

• Develop and maintain technical documentation (requirements traceability design docs test plans release notes)

• Lead verification and validation (V&V) activities (unit integration system regression)

• Produce certification artifacts and safety documentation

• Debug and resolve defects and field issues to improve reliability and availability

• Respond to user inquiries and support tickets incorporating feedback into improvements

• Evaluate and adopt new tools technologies and regulatory updates

• Establish and improve development processes toolchains and KPIs

• Plan and execute R&D efforts and feasibility studies

• Support software project management (schedule risk resource planning)

• Manage suppliers and partners ensuring compliance with requirements and standards

Requirements:

• Ability to obtain a security clearance

• Bachelors degree in Engineering Computer Science Mathematics Physics Chemistry or related field

• Typically 9 years of experience or equivalent (Masters 7 years PhD 4 years)

• ABET accreditation preferred but not required

• Experience with DevSecOps / DevOps environments (Mission Systems / Avionics support)

• Strong proficiency in GitLab CI/CD

• Experience automating build pipelines and toolchains using GitLab runners

• Experience enforcing merge controls based on regression test artifacts

• Experience deploying and managing containerized environments (Docker)

• Experience standing up and configuring simulations in lab environments

• Experience automating lab equipment configuration and test execution (nightly FQT ad-hoc)

• Strong scripting skills in Linux and Windows environments

• Experience building and maintaining development environments and toolchains

• Must be a U.S. citizen to comply with security clearance requirements.
