The Mammography Technologist I performs mammograms biopsies and bone density examinations (as applicable) in accordance with the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and American College of Radiology (ACR) guidelines. This position plays a key role in maintaining imaging quality and supporting patient-centered care as part of the direct patient care team.
Key Responsibilities
Perform high-quality mammography exams in accordance with MQSA and ACR standards
Assist with breast biopsies and bone density procedures as applicable
Ensure proper patient positioning safety and comfort during procedures
Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records
Support quality control and assurance activities
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Uphold all safety regulatory and compliance standards
Required Skills & Certifications
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R) Radiologic Technologist (Radiographer)
ARRT-M Mammography certification (required within 6 months of hire)
Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT) State Licensure
