Job Summary
Job Title: PM Controls Engineer (Functional Lead)
Location: Chicago IL or Elizabethtown PA (Onsite Mon Fri)
Type: Contract (6 12 Months Start ASAP)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced PM Controls Engineer (Functional Lead) to lead automation and process improvement projects within a manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for driving end-to-end project execution including system installation integration and delivery of complex process equipment.
The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in controls engineering project management and GMP-regulated environments with a proven track record of delivering automation projects successfully.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead automation project workstreams from planning through execution and delivery
- Oversee installation and integration of process equipment including motors valves and production systems
- Manage on-site contractors and vendors ensuring timelines and quality standards are met
- Review and approve technical designs ensuring seamless system integration
- Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders including Engineering Operations and Quality teams
- Track and manage project budgets schedules and deliverables
- Ensure compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to controls and automation systems
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Controls or related Engineering field
- Proven experience leading automation and controls projects in manufacturing environments
- Hands-on experience with Rockwell and Siemens PLC systems
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and controls engineering principles
- Experience working in GMP-regulated environments
- Strong project management communication and leadership skills
