Requirements

1. Shall have a minimum of Ten (10) years rigging experience with at least three (3) years at

supervisory level.

2. Experience & Competent in performing Critical and Heavy lifting activities in

Petrochemical Oil / gas plants.

3. Working experience in Shutdown and Project .

and work experience with different models of Mobile and crawler cranes.

5. Working Experience in Offshore jacket/Platform /Riser tower fabrication / installation

project preferred.

6. Be educated to a minimum qualification of Higher Secondary School Certificate.

a good command in English language (read/write) for effective communication and

able to understand and execute the lifting as per the Lifting plan.

strong administrative and supervisory skills to schedule monitor and control the

Lifting equipment personnel and lifting operations.

9. Be tarined and Holding a Rigging Supervisor Third party certificate (5days) issued by a

QE Approved Training agency or an internationally recognized TPI agency.

10. Shall be at least 30 years of age and physically fit.

Roles and responsibilities

Shall be responsible for all inclusive but not limited to:

Conducting all lifting activities in compliance to requirements for Lift assessment

planning and competency.

Develop lifting plans for Non-Routine activities.

Coordinate with lifting team in order to ensure that lifting related hazards are reviewed

and associated controls are implemented at the workplace.

Lead the lifting teams at Site towards safe work practice and ensure lifting operations

are held safely considering all hazards and corresponding controls.

Ensure any lifting equipment and lifting appliance used by his team is having a valid

third party certificate and ensure that all lifting appliances are color coded as per current

color coding system.

Verify and cross check the lifting accessories used in the Lifting operations are proper

and ensures the competency of the lifting personnel (TPI certificates) involved in the

activities are adequate.

Responsible for controlling rigging crews (rigging Foreman’s Crane Operators and

Riggers) Equipment’s and lifting gears for the safe execution of Projects and Shutdown.

Ensure area should have prepared properly to avoid any obstructions prior to lifting

swinging and maneuvering the equipment’s.

Ensure that all lifting is carried out safely and competently as per approved Lifting plan.

Ensure Safe Rigging practices in tune with National/international best Parctices.
