QUALIFICATIONS | |
Required: Any combination equivalent to: high school diploma G.E.D. Certificate or demonstrated progress toward obtaining a G.E.D. as required by Kentucky law. One-year radio dispatching experience. One-year of clerical experience including some experience with automated office equipment. Knowledge of: Office practices procedures and equipment Basic record-keeping techniques Interpersonal skills using tact patience and courtesy Health and safety regulations Telephone etiquette Basic computer skills including use of mouse and keyboard to navigate computer e-mail and websites | |
JOB DESCRIPTION | |
Job Summary: Use various forms of communication and technology efficiently to assess needs of each situation and determine an appropriate course of action. This position performs clerical duties and is responsible for maintaining records. Essential Functions Duties and Responsibilities: Operate two-way radio base stations paging system telephones and standard office equipment. Communicate effectively to analyze situations accurately and determine an effective course of action. Maintain assigned files records and databases; receive and process information according to established guidelines and procedures. Communicate effectively with parents supervisors schools administrators and department employees both orally and in writing. Maintain current knowledge of routes and locations to assure timely services and accurate information. Perform various support duties as assigned; including but not limited to: using a computer effectively to create communication and other items compile data from clearly defined sources and prepare reports prepare and process requisitions and distribute mail. Demonstrate loyalty and dedication to the purposes and goals of Daviess County Public Schools. Follow oral and written directions effectively. Learn and apply applicable department rules regulations policies and procedures. Work successfully in a team environment. Maintain student confidentiality. | |
