• Follows standards of care as outlined by Vail Health and Colorado Nurse Practice Act.
• Supports the coordination of the daily patient flow to optimize patient care safety and satisfaction.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient staff and hospital administration.
• Provides care within scope of practice as established by the privileges granted through the Vail Health Medical Staff Office.
• Competency in assessment diagnosis and treatment to assure high standards of patient care patient satisfaction and safety are maintained as documented by supervising physicians review.
• Provides patient education relating to current medical issues and to promote healthy lifestyle choices.
• Displays and promotes professional courteous and collaborative interaction with patients/families providers staff other Vail Health departments and leadership in meeting patient care needs and promoting teamwork.
• Demonstrates ability to delegate care appropriately and according to Colorado statute.
• Ensures that patient documentation is in accordance with accreditation and regulatory compliance standards.
• Demonstrates competency in triage diagnosis and treatment to assure high standards of patient care and safety are maintained.

• Two years experience as an APP in related area preferred.

• License and certifications per the employees contract with credentialing by the Medical Staff Office

• Successful completion of a physician assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) or a predecessor/successor agency acceptable to the Colorado Board of Medical Examiners.

OR

• Successful completion of a masters or post-masters degree from a nurse practitioner program that is accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).
