About the Position

As Project Controller at Sting you are an important part of the financial backbone that keeps our projects on track and our reporting sharp. You will work closely with - and report directly to - our CFO supporting the financial and operational health of one of Europes leading startup accelerators.

This is a role for someone who loves structure but thrives in an environment that doesnt always follow a straight line. At Sting were a small fast-moving team - which means some days are calm and analytical others are dynamic and demanding. You adapt naturally to both.

Key Responsibilities

Project Controlling & Stakeholder Support - You track project timelines and financial progress and ensure that key stakeholders always have the data they need to make informed decisions. You are proactive in flagging risks before they become problems and you keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Budgeting & Forecasting - You develop and maintain project budgets establish financial baselines and model future costs. Your forecasts are reliable well-documented and communicated with clarity.

Cost Control & Analysis - You monitor project spend analyse revenue streams and manage financial risk to protect profitability. Your analytical mindset means you dont just report what happened - you help the organisation understand why and what to do next.

External Reporting - You are an important part of the team that produces accurate and timely project reports to external parties such as Tillväxtverket Vinnova and EU. You have a solid understanding of EU state aid regulations (statsstödsregelverket) and ensure compliance in all relevant reporting.

Process Improvement - You dont settle for the way its always been done. You actively look for opportunities to improve internal processes - whether through reporting automation better data flows or smarter operational insights. You aim to leave things better than you found them.

Skills & Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience in controlling auditing or quality control you know how to maintain high standards in financial processes and project management
• Solid understanding of EU state aid regulations (statsstödsregelverket)
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and the ability to draw meaningful insights from complex data
• Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English both written and spoken with a professional and clear style
• A collaborative team player who also works effectively independently
• You are comfortable working in a digital environment have hands-on experience with AI automation tools and can quickly adapt to new IT systems
