Colorado Mountain Medicals Avon Family Practice is a wellestablished primary care clinic serving patients of all ages in the heart of the Vail Valley. As part of CMMa trusted multispecialty medical group and partner of Vail Healththe clinic emphasizes highquality teambased care with a strong focus on prevention wellness and longterm patient relationships. Physician Assistants play a vital role on collaborative care teams managing a broad scope of family medicine cases while working closely with experienced physicians and advanced practice colleagues in a supportive communityfocused environment.
About the opportunity:
The Advanced Practice Provider will work under the direction of designated Colorado Mountain (CMM) Physicians to provide health care services and complete associated administrative duties.
What you will do:
  • Practices in accordance with relevant Vail Health and State of Colorado Bylaws; Rules and Regulations; and Policies and Procedures.
  • Supports the coordination of the daily patient flow to optimize patient care safety and satisfaction.
  • Maintains confidentiality of patient staff and hospital administration.
  • Provides care within scope of practice as established by the privileges granted through the Vail Health Medical Staff Office.
  • Exercises competency in assessment diagnosis treatment and education/counseling to assure high standards of patient care patient satisfaction and patient safety.
  • Displays and promotes professional courteous and collaborative interaction with patients/families providers staff other Vail Helalth departments and leadership in meeting patient care needs and promoting teamwork.
  • Demonstrates ability to delegate care appropriately and according to Colorado statute.
  • Ensures that patient documentation is in accordance with accreditation and regulatory compliance standards.

What you will need:
Experience:
  • Two years of experience as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in a related area preferred
Education:
  • Successful completion of a physician assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) or a predecessor/successor agency acceptable to the Colorado Board of Medical Examiners.

OR

  • Successful completion of a masters or post-masters degree from a nurse practitioner program that is accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).
License(s) and Certification(s):
  • License and certifications per the employees contract with credentialing by the Medical Staff Office

Pay is based upon relevant education and experience per year.
