Risk Technician, Commercial Lines

An employee in the position of Risk Technician provides support to the account service all cases decisions regarding the account will be made by the Account Lead or the Risk Advisor and the Risk Technician should consult these individuals before any discussion with a this role the employee assists the account service team in all functions required to provide excellent customer service to assigned at all times in accordance with Navacords Core knowledge and confidence in all dealings with clients and respond to clients needsFile all appropriate items in the client driveParticipate in client meetings and group presentationsTake notes and share with service team for all meetingsSchedule Internal Renewal Marketing Strategy Meeting and take notesAssist Risk Advisor or Account Lead in contract analysisFile and review all quotations for accuracy and completenessPrepare quotation comparison presentation under the direction of the service teamRequest binding instructions from the client and issues binding instructions to underwriters at the direction of the service teamCreate Corporate Insurance Portfolio (CIP) for service team approval promptly after renewalRequest adjustment information from client and review details with support of the service teamCollect and review all policy documents for accuracySend policy documents to client within 60 days of renewalPerform other duties as requiredQualifications & SkillsA minimum Level 1 Alberta Insurance License or to obtain such within 3 months.1 years experience in the insurance industry Drive and self motivationPassion for learningExperience in Auto Property Liability Directors and Officers Errors and Omissions are all helpful The Brokers Workstation an asset Strong customer service skills Attention to detail and strong organizational skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills Working towards or completion of CIP or CAIB designation Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint
