Position Overview:
Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a Family Medicine Physician (Bilingual Bengali) to fill an opening with a multi-specialty practice located in the Bronx New York. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive primary care to a diverse patient population with a specific focus on serving the Bengali-speaking community.

- Work Schedule: This is a part-time position (2-3 days) Monday to Friday with 1-2 Saturdays per month.

Qualifications:
- Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school. Completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency program.
- Licensure: Must have a New York State medical license. Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine.
- Experience: Open to new graduates.
- Language:Must be bilingual in Bengali or have relevant experience supporting Bengali-speaking or comparable communities.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in performing physical examinations ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests prescribing medications and utilizing electronic health records.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Bengali strong clinical judgment cultural competence empathy and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive family medicine services including routine check-ups health screenings immunizations and preventive care for patients of all ages.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions such as hypertension diabetes respiratory infections and other common illnesses.
- Order interpret and analyze diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
- Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention lifestyle modifications medication adherence and treatment optionsdelivering all education in both English and Bengali as needed.
- Coordinate care with specialists and other healthcare professionals within the multi-specialty practice.
- Maintain accurate thorough and timely documentation in electronic medical records.
- Provide culturally competent care that respects the language beliefs and practices of Bengali-speaking patients and their families.
- Serve as a trusted medical resource for the Bengali community helping to bridge language and cultural barriers to healthcare access.
