Job Summary

We are SLR Consulting (US) a 500 coast-to-coast team of advisory environmental/engineering and regulatory professionals. We deliver environmental and sustainability services to our clients through the integration of over 30 advisory technical environmental and engineering disciplines to help clients address some of their most complex challenges around sustainability. As our new Survey Field Technician Intern you will play an important role on a team whose work is essential to achieving this goal.

Role

Were seeking a Survey Field Technician Intern whos ready to learn and grow in the surveying profession. If youre highly motivated detail orientated and thrive in the great outdoors this is your opportunity to make your mark on projects that shape communities.

Join our growing Land Surveying team in our busy Cheshire Connecticut office location and be eager to work on a wide variety of projects in the New England and New York area.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with performing boundary topographic and bathymetric surveys and construction staking/layout

Physical Demands:

Field work and travel are expected to be a part of this position. With or without reasonable accommodation employees are expected to perform the following activities:

  • Perform line clearing stake driving setting monuments
  • Ability to lift and/or move objects and equipment weighing up to 60-70 pounds

Heres what else youll enjoy as part of our team:

  • The hourly pay range for this position is $19-$21/hr. Final agreed upon compensation will be commensurate with individual education experience and internal parity.

Qualifications/Education:

  • Experience in land survey field work (preferred)
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivated (required)
  • Ability to work as part of a team (required)
  • Willingness to learn and take on more responsibility (required)
  • AutoCAD experience (a plus)
  • Valid drivers license (required)
