Compensation Range: $65000 - $70000 yearly commensurate with experience

Overview:
The Telehealth Psychotherapist will be instrumental in delivering high-quality behavioral health care remotely. The caseload will focus on clients identified for telehealth treatment due to depression anxiety substance use grief and related concerns. The Telehealth Psychotherapist will play an active collaborative role in a virtual setting delivering Evidence-Based Outcome-based Treatment to meet the unique needs of clients. This role emphasizes adaptability to virtual platforms effective remote communication and a commitment to providing exceptional telehealth behavioral health services. The position maintains a strong focus on continuous professional development within the telehealth landscape.
Responsibilities:
Primary:
- Utilize Tele-psychotherapy incorporating evidence-based approaches (e.g. Problem Solving Treatment Behavior Activation Treatment Motivational Interviewing) for remote patient education and medication adherence.
- Ensure the confidentiality of every virtual therapy session with access to a private and secure working environment eliminating any risk of unintentional disclosure.
- Ensure secure and encrypted channels for all client interactions always maintaining clients privacy and confidentiality.
- Effectively manage virtual communication with team members to support telehealth treatment decision-making and facilitate changes in recommendations or referrals.
- Provide remote medication adherence/medication management services.
- Collaborate and coordinate with in-clinic care providers to inform virtual stepped-care processes and support relapse prevention.
- Evaluate the risk level of each client and when necessary collaboratively develop and implement safety planning/monitoring in coordination with the supervisor.
- Engage in virtual case conferences for the ongoing coordination of telehealth clients care.
- Promote and facilitate diagnostic consultations between the PCP and Consulting Psychiatrist for challenging cases.
- Offer Self-Management support/options to clients declining coordinated care services but willing to engage in supported self-management goals.
- Generate timely accurate and content substantive progress notes with treatment goals and interventions that are congruent with the clients diagnosis and consistent with the scope of practice.
- Maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients treatment.
- Generate timely accurate encounter forms with diagnoses and appropriate CPT Codes.
- Participate in virtual one-hour weekly supervision sessions.
Secondary:
- Stay accessible for ongoing training and certifications as per requirements.
Requirements:
- Masters degree in social work
- Current license as an LMSW or LCSW in New York State.
