Shift & Schedule:

• Day Shift 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
• 7.5-hour shifts 37.5 hours/week
• Monday Friday

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Nurse Supervisor for a contract opportunity within a hospital-based Behavioral Health department in New York NY. This role requires a strong leader with hands-on experience across Behavioral Health settings including emergency psychiatry inpatient and outpatient services.

The Nurse Supervisor will oversee clinical operations support staff performance and drive quality improvement initiatives to ensure optimal patient care and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop programs to enhance patient care and staff performance
• Monitor and evaluate clinical performance across Behavioral Health units
• Collaborate with Nurse Managers on operations staffing and performance improvement
• Support and implement corrective action plans as needed
• Maintain systems for medication error tracking and counseling documentation
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements
• Promote effective communication across interdisciplinary teams
• Drive operational efficiency and high-quality patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of nursing experience required
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory/leadership experience required
• Experience in Behavioral Health emergency psychiatry inpatient or outpatient settings preferred
• Strong leadership communication and organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment

Education

• Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) Required
• Masters Degree in Nursing (MSN) Preferred

Licensure & Certifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License Required
• Primary source verification of RN license/registration Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required
