Salary Rate: Casual HEW 1 ($38.99 per hour 12% superannuation)

About the Role:

The Kitchen Porter supports the day-to-day operations of the Waurn Ponds Pantry kitchen. You must be quick-thinking and agile with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment utilizing your strong verbal communication skills. Additionally you should have the ability to work in a team environment and maintain an eye for detail.

To be successful youll have:

• Minimum 1 year experience in a busy kitchen environment
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a busy environment
• Must possess reliability self-motivation organizational skills and excel as a team player
• Demonstrates a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• The role requires the incumbent to apply and maintain a Working With Children Check

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Organise manage and independently operate your assigned section
• Washing and sanitising dishes glassware utensils and kitchen equipment
• Keeping the kitchen dish area and storage areas clean and organised
• Assist in delivery of events functions and daily café service
• Assisting with basic kitchen prep and tasks as required
• Daily and regular deep cleaning recycling and waste removal
• Adhere to health and hygiene standards at all times
• Assist in fostering and nurturing a culture of professionalism and pride in the workplace
