Corporate & Investment Bank Equity Derivatives & QIS Sales – Associate

As an Associate in the EDG Flow Team this role help maintain and build client relationships and match our services and products to their needs. You will work with the trading and research teams to provide comprehensive client coverage market updates idea generation and trade execution across different product lines and trading successful candidate will also have the opportunity to gain wider exposure to other sales teams within the broader EDG and cross asset distribution teams in Asia.

Job responsibilities

• Supporting day to day client requests and needs.
• Understand drivers of relevant markets and establish a high degree of competence with clients around executing trades.
• Understands firms approach and policies for managing risks in relevant business and applicable legal and regulatory rules and follows policies.
• Key products to work on: flow & exotic equity derivatives Delta 1 products and QIS Investments across all asset classes
• Build foundation of trust with clients by demonstrating an understanding of their needs clearly articulating desk ideas and being responsive.
• Balance potentially competing needs across clients internal partners and the firm.
• Assist with the post trade process by ensuring the accuracy of all entries and to ensure internal controls are followed.
• Conduct economic market research develop relevant trade ideas

Required qualifications capabilities and skills

• Minimum of 3 years working experience in financial industries
• Entrepreneurial drive with strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Demonstrable proficiency with market and product lingo. Well versed in the quantitative nature and framework of own product (e.g. pricing models quantitative investment strategies / QIS etc).
• Demonstrates creativity in solving problems. Always looks for new ways of doing things.
• Understands the different types of risk and can discuss in detail ways of managing these risk.
• Thoroughly understands drivers of relevant markets and can explain and anticipate market movements.
• Ability to thrive on the challenge of competitive pressures and remain focused on client needs
• Ability to communicate concepts and ideas both verbally and via documentation and be able to defend their validity and target messages to different audiences.
• Ability to interact comfortably with business clients and management.
• Self-directed highly motivated and able to work independently
• Minimum Bachelors degree in a relevant field

Preferred Qualifications Capabilities and Skills

• Prior experience in equity derivatives Delta 1 products or quantitative investment strategies (QIS) sales within an investment bank or similar financial institution.
• Strong client relationship management skills with a proven track record of building and maintaining institutional client relationships.
• Deep understanding of Asian markets and regulatory environments with the ability to navigate cross-border business requirements.
• Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to deliver market updates and trade ideas to sophisticated clients.
• High level of proficiency in Excel Bloomberg and other financial analytics platforms; programming skills (e.g. Python VBA) are a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and geographies demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
