Introduction

Are you a property professional with strong technical building knowledge including defects building safety HHSRS and housing disrepair protocol

Are you able to manage complex cases as a project from initial enquiry to completion and able to explain complex information clearly to members of the public staff and contractors

Are you able to manage motivate and develop teams and individuals
Do you have a proven track record leading surveying teams and producing highquality specifications technical reports and costed solutions

Whats the role

As the Senior Property Surveyor you will be responsible for delivering expert technical leadership across surveying functions within the SIAM team. You will be required to manage complex building surveying activities lead a team of surveyors and ensure that Lewishams housing stock is safe compliant with statutory requirements sustainable and maintained to high standards. The role will be responsible in assisting the asset and stock investment managers with ensuring compliance with regulations managing budgets and liaising with residents to deliver safe high-quality homes often involving detailed technical reports specifications and project management from inception to completion.

What were looking for

  • An experienced property professional with strong technical surveying expertise and knowledge of housing regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects from inception to completion producing highquality technical reports and specifications.
  • A strong understanding of compliance building safety and risk management within a housing or asset management environment.
  • Experience supporting or leading budget management and ensuring value for money in investment programmes.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with residents contractors and internal stakeholders.
  • A collaborative leader who can support teams and contribute to delivering safe highquality homes.

Location

The job is primarily based in Laurence House but we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis.

Special conditions

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Building Surveying or a related construction discipline
  • Professional membership such as MRICS/MCIOB or working toward
  • The job is subject to a Basic DBS check

Salary

57495 - 57495 per annum (PO6)

N.B: All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale) which is subject to evidential proof.
