Qualifications:

1. Must be licensed with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education as an Elementary Teacher (1-6)
2. SEI Endorsement required
3. Must hold a bachelors degree or higher.

General Duties:

Guides and evaluates the learning experience of the students in her/his classes and accepts responsibility for activities of students within her/his purview within the school building or on the school grounds.

Specific Duties:

• Instructs to the best of her/his ability
• Participates in faculty meetings and workshops
• Provides when necessary instructional help outside the regularstudent day within bounds established by the collective bargaining agreement
• Participates in curriculum planning and professional development activities
• Prepares records and reports as
• Provides for the care and protection of school property
• Keeps records and all books supplies and equipment in her/his classroom
• Accepts instructional and non-instructional assignments as provided forin the collective bargaining agreement.
• Executes School Committee policy.
