What will your job look like
- Design develop test and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL
- Work extensively with DB2 and IMS databases for data processing and transaction management
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Perform impact analysis debugging and defect resolution across development and production environments
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including analysts testers and production support
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to Amdocs engineering standards and best practices
- Support application modernization performance tuning and system stability initiatives
- Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing within the team
All you need is...
Required Qualifications
- 24 years of handson experience in Mainframe application development
- Strong proficiency in COBOL
- Solid experience with DB2 and/or IMS
- Experience working on batch and online (CICS) applications
- Understanding of SDLC debugging and production support processes
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative global team environment
Nice to Have
- Experience in telecom billing or large enterprise systems
- Exposure to JCL VSAM or performance tuning
- Familiarity with modernization or migration initiatives
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery models
