Basic Function: | To provide financial management services and business support to one or more academic or administrative departments/units with moderate operating budgets; to support the unit(s) in making sound financial decisions. Reports to Dean Chairperson or designated administrator. |
Additional Basic Function if applicable: | Based in the Office of the Provost this shared position supports collaborative work across University College the College of Honors and Global Education and the Office of the Provost. |
Examples of Duties: | Duties/essential functions may include but not be limited to the following: Develop financial plans and reporting that aligns with the units strategies. |

Minimum Qualifications: | Bachelors degree in accounting or related business degree. Three years budget and accounting experience which includes experience in budget development and monitoring and reconciling accounts. Knowledge Of:Applicable laws and regulationsApplicable grant and contract principles (if required by position) Skill In:Preparing reports and budgetsCompiling information analyzing data and preparing financial statements. Strong organizational skills; verbal and written communication skills Ability To:Conduct business process analysis needs assessment and cost/benefit analysisBuild modeling tools Use personal computer applications: word processing database email and spreadsheets; strong spreadsheet skills required Effectively communicate with university and external constituents Manage people and projects |
