Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Med/Surg Tele (Orthopedic Unit)
Location: Columbia SC
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule
- Shift: Night Shift 3x12 Hours (19:00 07:30)
- Hours: 36 hours/week
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (6 weekend shifts)
- Orientation: 16 hours (Non-billable)
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC isseeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a Med/Surg Telemetry Orthopedic unit in a high-acuity fast-paced hospital setting. The role focuses on orthopedic and telemetry patients including post-spinal surgery care and complex medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in Med/Surg Tele orthopedic unit
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms
- Manage post-operative orthopedic and spine patients
- Administer medications and IV therapies
- Document in Epic EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Float to units as needed based on competency
Unit Details
- Unit: 26-bed Orthopedic Spine Unit
- Ratios: 1:56
- Patient Population: Adult
- Cases: Spine surgeries cardiac conditions COPD DVT PE diabetes chest pain
- Procedures: Lumbar puncture post-cath care renal biopsy CT Angio Heparin drips
Required Qualifications
- Active SC RN License or Compact License
- Minimum 1 year Med/Surg Tele experience
- Orthopedic experience required
- 1 year Epic EMR experience
- Certifications: BLS ACLS NIHSS
- First-time travelers accepted
