Wieland is hiring a Production General Laborer.The General Laborer will be responsible for performing miscellaneous labor functions throughout the mill. This role is located in Montpelier OHand will be fully on-site.

Starting Pay: $22.22

Schedule: 2nd Shift: 3p-11p; Mon-Fri

Pay Schedule: Weekly

General Laborer Responsibilities:

• Instructed by supervisor on each task
• Tasks may include those similar to:
  • General housekeeping tasks - clean any area of Mill
  • Chopping scrap
  • Handle solid scrap
• Operates forklift to transport oil and trash to desingated locations
• Moves scrap to and from various locations
• Maintains equipment and performs duties in a clean and orderly condition
• Other duties as assisgned

General Laborer Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
• Minimum one-year manufacturing experience preferred

  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand (up to 100% of the time). The employee is regularly required to walk and climb stairs; reach with hands and arms; stoop kneel crouch bend twist stoop or crawl; push and pull; and talk or hear.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds repetitively and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to extreme tempertures and certain contaminants and must wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes glasses gloves hearing protection protective clothing hard hats and respiratory protection such as respirators (whether negative pressure positive pressure supplied air or SCBA). The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud
