Job Title: Registered Nurse NICU (Maternal Child Health)
Location: Ithaca NY
Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift Details:

• Night Shift
• 3 Shifts per Week
• 12 Hours per Shift

Job Description:We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care within the Maternal Child Health/NICU department. The RN will be responsible for delivering comprehensive care to neonates and maternal patients while collaborating closely with unit leadership and interdisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to neonates and maternal patients
• Perform patient assessment data collection and care planning
• Implement and evaluate patient care plans addressing physical emotional and developmental needs
• Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes
• Educate patients and families on care plans and health needs
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care
• Adhere to standards set by relevant nursing and maternal-child health governing bodies

Requirements:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (AAS) required
• Active New York State RN License required
• BLS certification required upon hire
• ACLS PALS and NRP required within 6 months of hire
• Experience in Maternal Child Health or NICU preferred
• Knowledge of postpartum care preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform repetitive hand movements (e.g. computer use)
• Ability to lift and assist patients as needed
• Ability to stand walk or sit for extended periods
• Must be able to operate clinical equipment as required
