Job Title: Registered Nurse NICU (Maternal Child Health)
Location: Ithaca NY
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift Details:
- Night Shift
- 3 Shifts per Week
- 12 Hours per Shift
Job Description:We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care within the Maternal Child Health/NICU department. The RN will be responsible for delivering comprehensive care to neonates and maternal patients while collaborating closely with unit leadership and interdisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to neonates and maternal patients
- Perform patient assessment data collection and care planning
- Implement and evaluate patient care plans addressing physical emotional and developmental needs
- Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes
- Educate patients and families on care plans and health needs
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care
- Adhere to standards set by relevant nursing and maternal-child health governing bodies
Requirements:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (AAS) required
- Active New York State RN License required
- BLS certification required upon hire
- ACLS PALS and NRP required within 6 months of hire
- Experience in Maternal Child Health or NICU preferred
- Knowledge of postpartum care preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform repetitive hand movements (e.g. computer use)
- Ability to lift and assist patients as needed
- Ability to stand walk or sit for extended periods
- Must be able to operate clinical equipment as required
